With many countries still under lockdowwn, the prospect of a fun summer may feel a little out of reach. However, there are still many ways to enjoy this season in quarentine. Using the extra time you have, you can grow and develop new iseas by engaging in healthy practicies and activities youve never thought of trying before. 

Finding your new hobbies and taking the time to pracitce a self care routine can make lockdown easy and exciting whilst social distancing. Doing your part for the world means youre also focusing on you, this summer can feel as fulfilling as ever. 

There are many things you can still do that will bring entertainment. Heres how to enjoy summer while social distancing. 

GET DIRTY

Have you been putting off those outdoor project for way too long? Now is the perfect time to get started. Gardening and other home improvements projects are all great ways to spend time this summer! You could plant a vegetable garden or redecorate your outdoor entertaining space. Always wanted a outside bar? 

Digging your hands into the fresh earth is kind of rewarding and fun! 

NATURE

Nature is beautiful! Exploring nature is one of the safest and healthiest ways to spend time out of the house either by yourself or with your family. If you live near lakes, forests or a beach, use them to your advantage.

Is there a place youve been exited to go to, now is the perfect time for a road trip to that favourite place. 

Activities like camping or swimming can all be done at a safe social distan ce. Even a simple walk can make a big difference to your mental and physical health by releasing those stressful thoughts and can boost your mood.

Are you the kind of person who buys books that can sometimes stack up quicker than you read them? Well, this summer is an open invitation to catch up on reading. Set a side an hour each day to read. This goes a long way espeically when you become invested in a good book and dont want to put it down. 

How about setting the mood by grabbing a blanket and relaxing in the sun.

Practicing wellness and mindfulness is a benefical habit for everyday life. Setting aside an hour a day to devote your time to uplifting, healthy habits can improve your mood and your health consistently. You can try meditation, a long walk or yoga to engage in your mindfulness every day. 

BREAK OUT YOUR WHEELS

Whether your favourite means of travel is biking or skateboarding, summer is the perfect time to het back in the habit of cruising around on your favourite wheels. Its free, active and gets you int he summer headspace. 

You can choose to ride around for run or recreation or you can set goals for yourself each week around your hobbies, like biking a certain distance each week. 

HOW TO ENJOY SUMMER IN QUARANTINE

Spending this summer in quarantine might not be something you were expecting but there are so many different opportunities to make it fun. Social distacning offers you the chance to get back to your roots by getting outside and spending time on things that make you happy. Maybe this is the time youll rediscover a love for an old hobby or fuind something new that you love to do.
