1. Wear Gloves

It might sound obvious, but wearing gloves during winter is one of the 7 quick ways to properly bundle up in Europe! You’ll be able to find it anywhere you go, any shopping mall or corner store as it is an essential item when the cold weather hits.

Gloves are made of different materials. While the most gloves are made of polyester, nylon or wool, the most efficient ones are waterproof on the outside (because of the snow/water) and are made with leather and wool.

2. Wear a Beanie Hat

Wearing a beanie hat or any ears/head cover are definitely part of the winter layering in Europe. Why? The wind is so strong and cold that your ears, head, and neck will be screaming for protection.

If you’re a fashion lover and are worried this might affect your overall look, worry no more. There are multiple brands created just for you to layer for winter fashionably and continue to look stunning.

3. Wear a Scarf

Definitely wear a scarf during winter, but mostly, tie it up properly! If you just grab a scarf and throw it over your neck, it won’t do its job. Make sure to cover your entire neck and part of your chest with it, no cold air should be allowed to touch your precious skin. You might think that’s funny, but … it’s not.

4. Wear the Right Jackets & Pants

No matter how many layers you add to your body, if it’s not made out of the proper material, it will not keep you warm. Here is what you need to wear to survive Europe’s winter 2020

Upper body:

  • Firstly, wear a dry-fit long sleeve before anything else to allow your skin to breath.
  • Secondly, add a sweater or hoodie on top of it to keep your body warm.
  • Thirdly and lastly, wear a windbreaker to prevent the wind from hitting your body.

Lower body:

  • Firstly, wear a dry-fit or warm pantyhose
  • Secondly, wear leggings or tight pants
  • Thirdly and lastly, wear jeans or pants with windbreaker material.

5. Wear Socks & Boots

This one might sound obvious, but believe it or not, if you can’t feel your feet, or toes, you will sooner or later have a problem. Therefore, make sure to wear warm wool socks and leather boots

6. Choose Your food Wisely

Choosing what you drink and eat is one of our 7 quick ways to properly bundle up in Europe!

Just like the outside of your body has to be protected by wearing the right clothes, you inside has to be protected as well. In order to do that, make sure to drink hot tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and soup to keep your body warm. This is literally bundling up from the inside and eating fatty food, such as almonds, avocados, whole eggs, salmon, etc.

7. Own a Thermo Flask

To follow up with choosing food wisely, make sure to  own a vacuum or thermo flask for water, soup, tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Fortunately, there are many kinds to choose from; however, the most efficient type seems to be the so-called Thermos Ultimate Series Flask

If you already own a thermo flask, make sure it works properly and carry it with you everywhere you go during winter to keep your body temperature.

*Tip: consider carrying sunglasses, lip balm & sunscreen on your bag/purse because the sun during winter is also very strong and can burn you, especially if you’re on top of a mountain.

Dear winter lovers or tropical babies that want to go to Europe for winter holidays: Make sure to follow these 7 quick ways to properly bundle up in Europe before your visit. Enjoying outdoor & indoor activities with friends and family are way more exciting than laying in bed with a cold.
