Visas are Typically Easy to get

Regardless of how long you’re staying in Prague, you’ll need to get a visa that allows you to be here legally. However, the visa you get will depend on whereabouts in the world you’re coming from. If you’re currently living in the European Union, you’ll be able to move to the Czech Republic easily, and you won’t even need a visa.

However, if you’re staying longer than 30 days, you’ll need to notify the police, which takes about an hour. You’ll need information like your address of the residence where you’re staying, your driver’s license, and passport.

If you’re coming from outside the EU, such as Canada, the US, Australia, or New Zealand, and you plan to work in Prague, you’ll need a Working Holiday Visa before you get into the country. This entire process can take up to six months, so make sure you’re getting ahead and getting organized with the process.

More information on a working holiday visa can be found on the Czech Republic government website. No matter where you’re from, make sure you’re doing it legally!

Prague is SUPER affordable

When I say super affordable, I mean Prague is so affordable you won’t believe your eyes in many places. Whether you’re looking at rent and bills, weekly groceries, or even going out to restaurants, buying clothes, or using public transport, your money will go a long way.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not as cheap as some parts of southern Asia, like Thailand, but compared to the rest of Europe, you’ll be able to go a long way on a little. If you’re an expat or digital nomad, you’ll fit in right at home here!
