Best Summer Destinations in Europe for 2017
Summer is around the corner, and a passionate traveller like you is most probably already thinking about possible summer destinations.
Whether you’re looking for a leisure trip or wanting to find a place to work in Europe this summer, it’s a difficult choice. Europe is full of incredibly attractive destinations and summer is not THAT far off. We can’t choose for you, but we hope to make it easier by giving you a selection. Here are our five best places in Europe to spend your vacation this year:
Côte d’Azur, France
You can’t miss out the French south coast when looking for perfect summer destinations. The region popularly known as the French Riviera hosts some of the most standout villages in France: Saint Tropez, Cannes and also the sovereign state of Monaco. Here you will find a glamorous summer like no other. Blue waters, palm boulevards and leisure ports make up the scenery of the region. This area also offers landscape tourism with impressive natural beaches and rock formations. Whether you’re looking for a summer of exploration or the relaxing and elegant coast cities, you can have both on the Blue Coast!
Amalfi Coast, Italy
Of course, we could talk about Sicily, Capri or Tuscany when giving advice about Italian summer destinations, but we thought it would be interesting to share this not-so-known destination. The Amalfi coast presents an incredible landscape made up of cliffs where houses and hotels cling on high above the sea. The weather is great almost all year, so you can take advantage of the September price drop, since late summer is also warm and wonderful here.
The Croatian Dalmatic coast is becoming the trendiest summer destination in Europe. Number three in our list of stunning summer destinations is being compared with Greek coasts. This is due to their similar qualities: untouched beaches, breath-taking landscapes, a consistent sun and the touch of Mediterranean sea. The region’s most popular city is Dubrovnik, which is famous for its lively summer festivals and the charm of its old town. Definitely, if you want to enjoy the best Mediterranean summer, Dubrovnik is your summer destonation.
We’re trying to avoid clichés, and wouldn’t it be a little obvious to suggest Ibiza, Mallorca or Tenerife for a Spanish getaway? Therefore, we recommend one of the many alternative Spanish summer paradises. Tarifa is becoming one of the country’s increasingly popular summer destinations for Spaniards since it has some of the best beaches in the South of the country. You can enjoy stunning landscapes and the purity of its sun and sea, with guaranteed warm weather due to the proximity of the African heat.
The Swedish capital is always a pleasure to visit and its beauty never gets old. However, we highly recommend summer to get to know this wonderful city. With the Scandinavian sun bathing the country for a few months, Stockholm becomes filled with life. Hot air balloons dot the sky, flea markets line the streets and there are lots of other available leisure activities. Aside from this, you can book flights for a very good price during the summer. July is one of the cheapest months to fly to Stockholm, so there shouldn’t be any hesitation.
